On May 10, 2021, the US Food and Drug Administration approved using the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination for students ages 12 to 15.  On May 12, both a vaccine safety review panel with the Centers for Disease Control and the Estern States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup recommended that students in that age group receive the vaccine.

A number of vaccination opportunities for students are now opening around the Bay Area. We will list as many as we can on this web page.

June 17: vaccine clinic for ages 12+

june 17 flyer

On June 17, AUSD is partnering with Safeway to provide Pfizer vaccinations to people ages 12+ from 12 pm to 6 pm at Encinal Jr. & Sr. High School.

This site is primarily for people who received their first shot at our May 27 clinic. We will also provide first shots at this clinic, however.

All participants need to bring:

  • Completed copy of consent form (hard copies will also be available at the site)
  • Picture ID (parent/guardian ID ok!)
  • Insurance information
  • Mask

The vaccine is free, but please do bring your insurance card so Safeway can bill your insurance company for the administration fee.

16-18 year olds can attend the clinic without a parent/guardian (but they need a parent/guardian's signature on the consent form).

12-15 year olds need to be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other adult during non-school hours. During school hours, they can just bring a signed consent form.

Online appointments can be made here or via the QR code below; walk ups also welcome!
