PARENTS & FAMILIES
Welcome to the Alameda Unified School District.
It’s no secret why Alameda is recognized as one the nation’s 100 best communities for young people—Alameda’s innovative and outstanding programs and services for social and emotional well-being make us an amazing place for youth to live, learn and grow. Thank you for being part of our city and of our district!
Our schools are the backbone of a thriving Alameda; they are composed of students who come to school well prepared and eager to learn. Parents and families are concerned with success and provide outstanding support for their children. The PTA, school clubs, and many volunteers contribute countless hours and resources to our students and schools. AUSD’s goal is for our students to gain the skills that will allow them to become successful, confident, contributing members of society. We turn to you as our partner in education and welcome you to get involved either in your child’s classroom, your school site council, your school’s parent community, and or by adopting a classroom via the Alameda Education Foundation.
For comments or suggestions about our parent and family page, please feel free to contact our office by phone (510) 337-7190, via email at cmedina@alameda.k12.ca.us or in person at our district office located at 2060 Challenger Drive, Alameda, CA 94501.
