The Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Department is committed to providing every student daily access to fresh, nutritious meals that meet or exceed federal, state, and AUSD guidelines.

FNS staff follow nutritional guidelines published by the United States Department of Agriculture. In addition, we offer salad bars and whole grain breads, pastas, pizza, and cereals at every school site. And we avoid the use of trans-fats, antibiotics, growth hormones, and high fructose corn syrup. Over the last several years, we have begun incorporating more and more locally produced produce in our meals.

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.
