Toolbox Program
Introduction
The Toolbox Program is a holistic approach to social-emotional learning that empowers individuals of all ages with practical skills and strategies to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and compassion. This program is rooted in the belief that through engaging activities, interactive discussions, and real-world application, students can learn to cultivate self-awareness, empathy, and mindfulness, laying the foundation for a lifetime of emotional well-being and success. Much like Restorative Practices and Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports, Toolbox is a part of our Tier 1, school-wide programming for all of our elementary school sites. For the past three years, AUSD has utilized Toolbox’s curriculum to teach social-emotional skills to our TK-5 students for them to make positive choices in both personal and academic contexts.
