Facilities Rentals
Use Our Facilities
Alameda Unified School District welcomes community members, groups and organizations to use our facilities for athletic events, fundraisers, neighborhood meetings and more.
A Few Things to Note:
- High School Sports Fields are not available for rent
- Performing Arts Centers - You must provide your own audio/visual technician. Technology service fees will be applied for district oversight of equipment.

Submitting a Permit Checklist
Applications must be submitted at least twenty-one (21) working days prior to use

- Create an account or sign in – How to Create an Account
Note: If creating an account, you will need to provide a signed acknowledgement page from the Facilities Use Handbook, an up-to-date certificate of insurance, and your 501c3 letter (if applicable). These can be mailed to rentals@alamedaunified.org. - Select a school site and the facility you would like to reserve for your group - Help Page with instructions to create an event request
- Once submitted, the district designee will review your request and process as required.
The public Permit Viewer portal can be adjusted by date, time, and site locations in a user-friendly format. This way users can see currently approved permits and note any conflicts during event planning.

Insurance Requirements
Certificates of Insurance and Endorsements must include the following: The General Liability certificate of insurance (COI) (Acord 25 or similar form) is to be issued by the third party's insurance company or broker (Producer), which reflects the District as the Certificate Holder and include the Official AUSD address.

- Required Limits:
The District has the right to re-evaluate the following limits to determine whether they are suitable based on the nature of the event and/or activity/contract. - General Liability:
$1,000,000 minimum limit per occurrence
$2,000,000 minimum general aggregate - Automobile Liability:
Personal transportation vehicles that are driven onto and parked on school property California State minimum requirements for private passenger vehicles: $15,000 injury/death to one person $30,000 injury/death to more than one person $5,000 damage to property - Workers' Compensation and Employers Liability:
Proof of Workers' Compensation coverage with statutory limits is required if the vendor/consultant has employees. - Employer's Liability Each Accident:
$1,000,000 Disease - Each Employee: $1,000,000 Disease - Policy Limits: $1,000,000
Payment
Alameda Unified maintains reasonable fees for facility use and processing. Payment is required prior to use. Invoices are sent via e-mail and contain a link for online payment.
