AUSD has a continual need for substitutes, and we welcome people who would like to become a part of our team!
For the most up to date substitute rates please visit our salary schedules page. Please note that substitute teachers who choose to work for Alameda Unified will be assigned at the discretion of the District.
How Do I Become a Substitute
If you already have a teaching credential, you can search edjoin for our current certificated job openings (which include substitutes). If you don't have a teaching credential, you can get an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit, by following the steps below.
