Dress Code
INTRODUCTION
In July, 2018 the Board of Education approved changes to AUSD’s dress code policy. The revised policy was based on changes proposed by a work group and based on work by the Oregon chapter of the National Organization of Women.
Following the implementation of the pilot policy in 2018-19, a workgroup met throughout the year to review input and recommend changes. Students, families, and staff were surveyed for feedback. Data collected from these focus groups was presented to the Board on May 28, 2019. The revised policy took effect on July 1, 2019 and was implemented in the 2019-20 school year.
