Bond Oversight Committee

On November 4, 2014, voters residing within the City of Alameda passed Measure I. Measure I is a $175.9M bond measure that authorizes funding for needed repairs, upgrades, and new construction projects to the District’s schools. On June 7, 2022, voters residing within the City of Alameda passed Measure B. Measure B is a $298M bond measure that also authorizes funding for needed repairs, upgrades, and new construction projects.

At its September 13, 2022 meeting, the Board of Education approved the expansion of the current Measure I Bond Oversight Committee to allow for one committee to oversee both Measure I and Measure B expenditures. The committee meets quarterly and is tasked with reviewing bond program expenditures and independent audits to ensure the will of the voters is strictly followed in accordance with the language of the original ballot measures.

In the spring of 2023, the eleven-person committee opened the application process for five available positions:

  • One (1) parent or guardian active in a PTA
  • Four (4) at-large members

At their May 23, 2023 meeting, the Board of Education appointed the following members to the Bond Oversight Committee:

  • Mike McMahon - At-Large #3
  • Jennifer Bullock - At-Large #4
  • Neil Dandavati - Parent/Guardian of Child Enrolled in District and Active in a PTA
