The following was sent out by AHS Principal Angela Barrett and EHS Principal Kirstin Snyder on November 6:
Dear Families and Students,
The AHS and EHS football teams will be meeting at Thompson Field tomorrow for the annual Island Bowl. Historically this is a big game that attracts lots of spectators. This year, it is an especially big game because the current series record is 33-33, with two ties. This will be exciting!
Here are a few things to keep in mind as you make your plans to attend:

Here are a few things to keep in mind as you make your plans to attend:
-
The JV game begins at 4:30 pm; the varsity game begins at 7 pm.
-
You can buy tickets at the game, but we highly recommend you buy them at GoFan ahead of time, as this game tends to sell out.
-
Parking on Clement Street is now only available on the south side. If you are driving, please arrive early so that you have plenty of time to find parking and walk to the field calmly and safely.
-
You can bring team spirit and team swag. You cannot bring:
-
Alcohol
-
Backpacks
-
-
We expect all of our students and families to be respectful and considerate of the opposing team, their supporters, the game officials, and nearby residents.
-
Please note that students can be subject to disciplinary conduct for improper conduct at games
-
-
There will be no in-and-out privileges; once you leave the field, you cannot come back in
We are looking forward to an exciting game and positive spirits tonight!
Respectfully,
Angela Barrett
