Legal Services

All legal documents directed to the Alameda Unified School District or its employees, including but not limited to summons, subpoenas, and claims, may not be served at any school site. Any attempts to personally serve, fax, or email these documents will be refused.

Documents must be directed to Dani Krueger, the Coordinator of Business Services, at the district office for proper handling and processing. This policy ensures that all legal matters are addressed per district procedures.

Filing a Tort Claim

Damage claims are made by submitting a tort claim form to Business Services. Please contact us for a copy of the form and filing instructions.

Records Request

Specific record requests may be made through Scribbles, a secure website for students, families, educational institutions, and corporations to request student records online, with a nominal processing fee.  Per district policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian, or responsible person if the student is less than 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without the student’s written consent.

The following may be requested:

  • Official High School Transcript
  • Verification of Graduation
  • Enrollment History (1990 - current year)
  • Special Education Records (only available until the student's 25th birthday)
