2022 Developer Fees

All new housing and remodeling projects are approved by the City of Alameda Planning and Building Department. The City of Alameda will issue a construction permit when all fees are paid by the developer, included in these fees are developer impact fees collected by the City on behalf of the Alameda Unified School District.

Current fees as approved by the State Allocation Board on February 23, 2022, for Level 1 developer fees:

$4.79 per square foot for residential space
$0.78 per square foot for commercial and industrial space
